I’ve spent most of my life feeling not perfect — yet rising, evolving and insanely awesome in ways I never expected. That contrast between my flaws and my growth has become the core of my journey. I’m not here to pretend perfection; I’m here to show what happens when you keep moving, keep trying, and keep becoming something stronger than yesterday.
You could say I’m a lucky one. Until I was around 30–35 years old, I never once stopped to think whether I looked good, whether my body was nice, whether I was fashionable or wearing the “right” clothes. I had success — in relationships, in society — and with every passing day my confidence grew along with it.
I forgot to mention that back then the internet barely existed. I was 25 when it first appeared, and it was something basic, nothing like today. And when Facebook showed up, I was already past 30 (so now you can roughly calculate how old I am, lol). That’s when the storm began — the one that swept everyone away and made them doubt their physical appearance. And that was only the beginning. Back then, beauty filters didn’t even exist… and now, with almost every photo edited, we’ve reached a point where we look at ourselves and compare ourselves to those “perfect” beings on the screen: perfect silhouettes, perfect lips, shiny flawless skin, and so on.

And when you finally see that person in real life, you notice all the flaws hidden behind subtle angles, technical tricks, and sophisticated phones. And then you ask yourself why you feel like slapping yourself for not having the ideal weight, for not having the perfect nose, or whatever other nonsense. Because yes — it is nonsense. What’s happening now is nonsense. People are being measured against impossible models, models we could have lived peacefully without.
If you’re rising too, don’t stop here. Explore the tools that help you evolve from the inside out — from calming your mind with the Calm Your Mind Guided Meditation Series to building unshakable confidence and inner strength, and even mastering the social skills that shape your relationships. Your journey doesn’t end with reading; it continues with choosing what helps you grow next.
According to Psychology Today, self‑esteem grows not from perfection but from the courage to evolve, rise, and rebuild yourself — exactly the journey we explore here.Self-Esteem | Psychology Today
Now even gorgeous young women doubt the way they look, and men feel like they either look like skeletons or like barrels. I remember how, back in the day, circuses had those mirrors that distorted your reflection — and that’s exactly what’s happening now. The mirrors are today’s media channels, and they make all of us believe we’re ugly.
So I have a rule, simple and clear: I stand in front of a big mirror so I can see myself entirely. If I love what I see, I walk with confidence. If I feel I need to change something, I work on my image. It’s that simple. If I think I’m fat, I start exercising. If I see some wrinkles, I look for a cream. And so what if I’m not perfect? I love myself the way I am. And I’ve always loved myself.
And because of this storm of comparisons, pressure, and impossible standards, many women have reached a point where they no longer see themselves clearly. That’s why I want to recommend something that can truly help: a guide created specifically for women who want to break free from comparison and rebuild their confidence — Stop Comparing Your Body and Start Loving Yourself. It’s an ebook that teaches you how to rebuild your relationship with your body, how to grow your self-esteem, and how to protect your mental wellness in a world full of filters and illusions.
